Question by Tony: can I take my own beer into my Monte Carlo room in Las Vegas? Is it allowed?

Will I get in trouble with hotel staff? no one seems to be sure, I heard many “yes you can” and plenty of “no, you cannot” I want a 100% sure answer either way. Thanks
